Lo interesante de Observation es que nos desenvolveremos en el juego sin la necesidad de una forma corporal definida. Así mismo nuestras habilidades estarán limitadas y durante la mayor parte del juego lo que hacemos es controlar el sistema de cámaras que están repartidas por toda la estación.

Igualmente tendremos que interactuar con computadoras y tableros de control que vayamos encontrando a nuestro paso. Al mismo tiempo en Observation tendremos un mapa de la estación que se va nutriendo y expandiendo a medida que fluye el tiempo. Otra particularidad es que podemos saltar entre cámaras cada que lo requiramos.

Puede parecer que este juego es simple y no tiene mucha emoción, pero la verdad es que cuenta con una gran narrativa que combina elementos de terror y que es de lo más convincente que seguramente quedarás enganchado a su trama totalmente original.

El juego arranca con un serio problema en la estación ya que Emma Fisher despierta y se da cuenta que no tiene ningún tipo de comunicación con el resto de la tripulación. De inmediato se sabe que algo catastrófico ha sucedido ya que la estación no está orbitando la tierra y nadie responde.

La dinámica de este juego es lenta y se van desplegando una serie de misterios cada vez más complicados aunado a una sensación de suspenso y temor que nos acompañará por muchos apartados de la historia. La estética del juego puede parecer neutra pero el fuerte está en los elementos de la ciencia ficción que se adoptaron.

Emma es el personaje que vemos desde las cámaras que maniobramos y que a su vez nos genera impotencia al tratar de estar en sus zapatos con semejante problema que afronta. Algunos elementos del entorno con los técnicos espaciales tienden a ser anticuados y no se ve innovación en elementos propios de la cultura espacial.

SAM es la parte más tecnológica de la estación y adicionalmente carga nuestro propio menú o tablero de control del sistema, que además a medida que transcurre el juego, nos ayudará a desbloquear elementos fundamentales para nuestro éxito en la misión.

El sistema inteligente de cámaras tiene un sistema de zumbidos y otros efectos de sonidos analógicos que lo hacen parecer de lo más retro. La mayor parte de nuestra experiencia en este juego, como ya se había dicho, será en toma lenta y zooms de cámara.

La jugabilidad de Observation es bastante simple pero eso no le quita su esencia de exploración que es vasta. Tendremos que escanear cuanto portátil veamos en el camino y analizar documentos. ¡También hay acertijos!

Observation es un gran juego que nos demuestra que una narración de ciencia ficción puede llevarse a cabo en diferentes perspectivas. Una entrega que genera verdadero suspenso y que nos ocupará espacio en nuestra agenda de juego. Muy buena estética y una banda sonora fabulosa. No ideal para niños y medianamente adictivo.
